GABA supplement
GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is the important and abundant inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. It helps to induce relaxation and sleep. It acts as a balancer for the brain where excitation of the brain is balanced with inhibition. It stimulates anterior pituitary, leading to higher levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). HGH is very anabolic and lipotropic. GABA enhances two positive effects. HGH has the following effects:
- It helps lose fat and improve lean muscle.
- Higher levels of HGH leads to less body fat and also better lean tissue-stored fat ratio.
- It has anti-ageing effects.
- HGH levels decrease with age so it is better to supplement it.
GABA promotes significant increase in plasma growth hormone levels. HGH levels increases by 5 times after GABA supplementation. You should take atleast 2 grams of GABA for it to be effective, 5 grams is much more effective and the effectiveness of GABA is maximum when 18 grams of it is taken. When GABA is taken orally it is not as effective as it is when it taken intravenously.
SIDE-EFFECTS
There are very few side effects of it. Some persons experiences some mild tingling sensations around the face and neck area after supplementing GABA. There can be brief and mild change in heart rate or breathing patterns. These side-effects disappear quickly and are not harmful.
It has slightly sedative effect which makes it ideal to take it before going to bed.
